Record PROTECT IP6X is a sliding door system with IP66 encapsulated modules, in which the operator, lock, battery and expansion module are housed in sealed stainless steel enclosures made of 1.4404 (AISI 316L) stainless steel, which offer unique resistance to water, moisture and dust. Works reliably – always independent of environmental conditions such as near the sea, on ships, in swimming pools or near the tropics. The well-known Record System 20 door system is extended to include the IP66 protection class variant in accordance with DIN EN 60529 (IEC60529/VDE 047).
What does „IP” mean?
IP stands for Ingress Protection and defines the degree of protection against the ingress of foreign bodies, water and dust. Record PROTECT IP66: The first number indicates protection against the ingress of foreign bodies (dust). Where «0» stands for «No protection» and «6» for «Dust-tight». The second number indicates protection against water. Where «0» stands for «no protection» and «8» for «protection against permanent immersion». The heart of the PROTECT IP6X is protected to prevent ingress of dust and water, resulting in reliable operation and long service life. IP66 - dust-tight and protected against water jets from any angle.
